Entrance-test registration and the secondary-school common application form are usually separate processes. A child may need to register for the 11+ before completing the local authority school application.

For September 2028 entry, many 11+ assessments take place in 2027. There is no single national deadline, and not all schools publish their dates at the same time.

Make a reliable checklist

For every target school, record the official admissions URL, test provider, registration opening and closing dates, test date, result date, application deadline and any evidence requirements.

If a date is not yet announced, write “to be confirmed” rather than copying last year’s date. Recheck official sources before booking travel or making arrangements.

Start with your target school or consortium and your home local authority. The exact timetable can differ even between nearby grammar schools.

Kent County Council says the exact 2028-entry Kent Test date will be confirmed in its 2028 scheme. Do not treat a date from an older practice website as confirmed.
