AI transparency
How Homework Magic uses AI — and where it does not
AI is a support tool, not the teacher. Homework Magic uses generative or vision AI only where a feature needs it, while core navigation, class management and supported closed-question marking can work without generative AI.
Fast facts
Where AI may be used
Explanations
AI can help produce step-by-step explanations when a learner needs more help, subject to the feature and account settings.
Worksheet or image review
Vision AI may be used where a scanned or photographed worksheet needs interpretation. QR-linked printed packs avoid using AI to identify the original question set.
Coaching support
AI-supported coaching can help explain what to practise next, but saved progress, rules and existing content should be used before unnecessary model calls.
What AI should not be trusted to decide alone
Homework Magic does not promise that an AI answer is always correct. AI should not be the sole basis for safeguarding decisions, medical advice, statutory school records, admissions decisions or guaranteed academic outcomes.
Questions about AI
Does every activity use generative AI?
No. Many core workflows do not need generative AI at all.
Can AI make mistakes?
Yes. Important explanations and interpretations should be checked by an adult when accuracy matters.
What should children avoid sharing?
Children should not put passwords, full addresses, exact birthdays, medical details or other unnecessary personal information into homework or AI boxes.
