World Explorer: learn and travel the world
Complete homework practice questions and discover new countries, animals and landmarks. Every five eligible questions brings another surprise.
Practise questions. Discover the world.
World Explorer is Homework Magic’s free illustrated travel adventure. Every pupil starts in London, UK, and follows the same worldwide route, discovering countries, cities, famous landmarks, animals and natural wonders. There is no need to share a real location.
1. Choose a school topic
Start a supported Maths, English, Science or 11+ practice activity. Choose what is helpful for learning, not a particular destination.
2. Complete five questions
Every five genuinely completed, eligible questions makes the next discovery available. Wrong answers count just as much as correct attempts.
3. Reveal a new place
Open the map, reveal a city, landmark or animal and collect a travel discovery. Later chapters return to countries for new attractions.
How travel rewards and learning progress differ
World exploration is based on the number of eligible questions completed, not on getting answers right or practising Geography. Academic learning progress, XP and gift points keep their existing rules. A child can make learning mistakes and still make travel progress.
Collect a private Travel Passport
Travel Passport keeps two separate records: academic topic stamps for school topics genuinely practised, and place discoveries for countries, animals and landmarks revealed. Practice stamps show participation, not proof of mastery.
Designed for a long world journey
The Stage 1 World Explorer route is designed around a catalogue of 800 discoveries across many countries and territories. The route can grow over time. Children move to another country after a few discoveries and can return later to explore more.
Start an adventure after practice
After completing supported practice, World Explorer shows the next eligible discovery. A child chooses when to reveal it, and their map remembers their latest claimed location. No time limit or public leaderboard is needed to explore.
Frequently asked questions
Does a child need correct answers to unlock a country?
No. Every five genuinely completed eligible practice questions makes one new discovery available. Wrong answers count equally.
Does the school topic need to match the destination?
No. Maths, English and other supported practice topics contribute to the same fixed world route.
Does World Explorer track the child’s real location?
No. Every pupil starts virtually in London. The feature does not need GPS or a home address.
Is World Explorer free?
World exploration is part of the free learning experience. AI explanations through Maggie may require an eligible paid subscription.
What is in the Travel Passport?
Private stamps show academic topics practised and separate place discoveries. A practice stamp does not mean the topic has been mastered.
