Terms of Service
The terms that apply when a parent or guardian uses Homework Magic or purchases a digital subscription.
Who provides the service?
Homework Magic is a trading name used by Homework Magic.
Customer support: contact@homeworkmagic.co.uk
Business and service address: Homework Magic, London, UK
1. The service
Homework Magic supplies online educational practice for UK school Years 1–11 and 11+ preparation. Features may include generated questions, marking, explanations, targeted practice, progress records, reward quests, branded learning gifts and parent-controlled learning memory. Subscriptions are digital services; optional physical gifts may be earned with Gift Points as described below and are not sold for money.
AI-generated material can contain mistakes. Homework Magic supports practice but does not replace a teacher, professional tutor, school assessment or safeguarding advice.
2. Parent or guardian accounts
An adult parent or guardian must create and manage the family account, payment and learner profiles. Use learner nicknames and do not submit a child’s school, home address, phone number, exact date of birth, password or other unnecessary identifying information. For an approved gift, the parent may enter the name and UK address of an adult delivery recipient in the dedicated parent-only form.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account.
3. Prices, payment and access
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) on the pricing page. Any applicable tax or final payment information is shown before payment. Card payments are processed on Stripe-hosted checkout pages; Homework Magic does not store complete card details.
Digital access normally begins after Stripe confirms successful payment. The five-day access pass is a single payment and does not renew automatically. Monthly subscriptions renew each month until cancelled.
From time to time, a small number of invited parent testers may receive free, time-limited beta access. Beta access requires a parent account, does not require a payment card, does not renew, does not earn Gift Points and may be withdrawn if the beta is misused.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked from the pricing page. Cancellation stops future renewals and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.
Refund eligibility, time limits and the request process are explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
5. Reward quests and branded gifts
Experience points (XP), levels, certificates and Gift Points are motivational features with no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold. Every signed-in learner may earn XP, complete quests and unlock certificates. XP records earned progress and is never deducted when a gift is requested, approved, cancelled or dispatched.
Gift Points are a separate subscriber benefit. They are earned only while the family has an active recurring Homework Magic subscription; the non-renewing five-day pass is not eligible. If an eligible subscription ends, existing Gift Points remain recorded but no new Gift Points are earned and gifts cannot be requested or approved until an eligible subscription becomes active again. Gift Points are not awarded retrospectively.
The current catalogue may include Homework Magic logo stickers, a pen and a notebook, subject to stock and UK delivery availability. A child covered by an eligible subscription may request a gift, but no Gift Points are used until the signed-in parent or guardian confirms the request with the account password and supplies an adult recipient’s UK delivery address. If an approved order is cancelled before dispatch, or Homework Magic cannot supply it, its Gift Points are returned. XP remains unchanged.
A gift request is not a cash purchase and has no cash alternative. Parents should check that a gift is suitable for the child’s age and supervise its use where appropriate. The Privacy Notice explains how the encrypted delivery address is used and deleted.
6. Fair use
Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass security controls, automate excessive requests, interfere with other users, upload unlawful material or use the service for content unrelated to primary education or 11+ practice. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect children, users or the service.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Homework Magic available but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and technical faults may occasionally affect access. We may improve or change features while preserving any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law. Subject to that, Homework Magic is provided as an educational practice aid and is not responsible for decisions made solely from AI output. Parents, guardians and teachers should check important learning, health, legal or safeguarding matters.
9. Privacy and contact
The Privacy Notice explains how account and learning information is handled. For account, billing or service questions, email contact@homeworkmagic.co.uk or use the support form and message box.
