UKMT, Kangaroo and UK Bebras Challenge practice

Help children build mathematical reasoning and computational thinking with original practice inspired by popular school challenges. Homework Magic is an independent practice platform.

UKMT Mathematical Challenge preparation

Practise number patterns, geometry, logic and multi-step reasoning. UK Mathematics Trust runs official mathematical competitions; find entry details and papers at UKMT’s official competitions site.

Kangaroo maths challenge preparation

Kangaroo rounds are related to UKMT competitions and have particular age and entry rules. Homework Magic offers its own practice activities, not official Kangaroo entry or official Kangaroo question papers. Check the UKMT Junior Kangaroo information.

UK Bebras Challenge preparation

Explore logic, patterns, algorithms, sorting and instructions without needing to write computer code. The UK Bebras Challenge is organised by the Raspberry Pi Foundation; official participation and past tasks are available at bebras.uk.

What is free and what is optional?

Homework Magic provides original practice questions and supported automatic marking. Optional AI explanations can require a subscription. The website does not administer official competitions and does not guarantee results or entry.

Frequently asked questions

Does Homework Magic run official UKMT, Kangaroo or UK Bebras competitions?

No. The maths and computational thinking questions are independently created for practice. Official competition entry, dates and papers belong to their organisers.

Yes. They can work on original reasoning questions and follow-up practice. They should consult UKMT directly for the official format and entry requirements.

What about Junior Kangaroo, Grey Kangaroo and Pink Kangaroo?

Homework Magic has practice categories for several UKMT Kangaroo rounds; they do not represent official UKMT participation or official past papers.

Can younger children try UK Bebras-style questions?

Yes. The platform has age-grouped computing-thinking challenges, including puzzles involving logic and patterns. Official UK Bebras participation is arranged separately.
